Abstract (eng)
Young musicians who play a wind or string instrument are more likely to make music with other musicians than pianists, who can play more than one voice right from the start. Wind and string instrumentalists are often taught in a group to experience polyphony right from the beginning. Chamber music pieces occur only occasionally for a piano student who is used to being taught individually. Competence-oriented piano group lesson can enable pianists to make music together as an ensemble. However, the solo component must not be neglected, as students at the Musikschulen des Landes Kärnten must take an exam after three years. It is questionable whether this test can also be successful after three years if pupils are only taught in groups.
